"Island Villas" is my summer project for 2019. Part of it is based off of a villa in Massachusetts, but I ended up turning it into something much more tropical with a lot of French, Greek, and Caribbean influences. This was definitely my most iterative project to date, and the way I constructed the modular pieces allowed for a lot of experimentation with regards to level design. One of the big things I wanted to focus on with this project was creating custom foliage and creating LODs in Unreal, two things I hadn't attempted before.
-Modeled and designed all 3D models depicted here: a wide array of custom architecture, props, and foliage using 3ds Max from references
-All textures were created in GIMP
-Designed all materials in Unreal 4 (except the Water material)
-Worked with post processing effects
-Set up LODs for every model within Unreal 4
-Worked with the terrain editor in Unreal 4
-Designed the layout of the map
